Located 55 km east of San Salvador, the town’s main industry is the production of so-called “sorpresas,” which are miniature clay figurines. They also craft angels, human figures, traditional landscapes, tropical fruits, and nativity scenes, all of which can be admired for their intricate details and beauty. In San Sebastián, the main industry is the production of textiles using rustic, handcrafted looms.
