Terms and Conditions
Please review the terms and conditions of our services.
Welcome to AMOR TOURS. By booking our tourism services, excursions, packages, or transfers, you (hereinafter, the “Customer” or “Passenger”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making your reservation or payment.
1. Purpose and Scope
AMOR TOURS, hereinafter “the Operator,” is dedicated to the organization, arrangement, and provision of tourism services within and outside of El Salvador (day tours, vacation packages, tourist transportation, local guides, among others).
2. Reservation and Payment Process.
- Reservation Confirmation: All reservations will be considered finalized only after full payment or the corresponding deposit (at least 50% of the total amount, as indicated in the quote) has been received and the Customer has submitted the required contact information.
- Payment Methods: We accept payments via local bank transfer, credit/debit cards, or authorized digital payment gateways.
- Outstanding Balance: The remaining balance for travel packages or tours must be paid by the dates specified in the booking confirmation (generally, no later than 7 days before the service start date).
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy.
We understand that travel plans can change, so we apply the following policies in the event of cancellations by the Customer:
- Cancellations made more than 15 days in advance: 100% of the amount paid will be refunded, minus only any applicable bank or payment gateway fees.
- Cancellations between 7 and 14 days in advance: 50% of the total tour or package price will be retained to cover administrative and advance booking fees.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance or No-Shows: No refund will be issued (100% penalty).
- Day Tours: Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance to be eligible for a partial refund or rescheduling; otherwise, the full penalty applies.
4. Changes and Cancellations by the Operator.
- The Operator reserves the right to modify itineraries, schedules, or travel dates due to force majeure, adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, road closures, civil unrest, or government orders that jeopardize passenger safety.
- In the event that the Operator must permanently cancel a tour for reasons beyond the passenger’s control, the passenger will be offered the option to reschedule the service or receive a full refund of the amount paid.
5. Travel Documentation and Requirements.
- It is the Customer’s sole responsibility to carry valid and up-to-date identification documents (DUI for nationals, a valid passport for foreigners, visas if applicable, and vaccination records if required by the destination).
- The Operator assumes no liability and will not issue refunds in the event that immigration or transportation authorities deny any passenger boarding, entry, or exit from the country due to missing or invalid documentation.
6. Liability and Limitations.
- Safety and Conduct: Passengers must follow the tour guide’s or driver’s instructions at all times. The Operator reserves the right to terminate service, without the right to a refund, for any passenger whose conduct endangers their own safety, that of third parties, or that of the group.
- Personal Belongings: Luggage and personal items are always the sole responsibility of their owners. The Operator is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal items during the tours.
- Adventure Activities: For tours that include risky or adventure activities (advanced hiking, surfing, zip-lining, rappelling, volcano tours, etc.), the Customer participates at their own risk, releasing the Operator from civil liability for accidental injuries, provided that the company has complied with established safety standards.
7. Insurance.
We strongly recommend that all our customers purchase international or local travel insurance that covers medical expenses, accidents, lost luggage, and flight cancellations before beginning their travel activities.
8. Governing Law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of El Salvador. Any dispute arising from the provision of services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of El Salvador, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Law.
